Built behind the Delville Wood Memorial, this museum, which is the replica
Cape Town Fort, has been open since 1986 and is a symbol of the struggle of the
South Africans alongside the Allies during the various conflicts of the 20th century
Century.
Longueval combines memory
international at all times! Here, it's first and foremost the fighters
New Zealand and South Africa, which have multiplied their acts of arms and acts of
Bravery...
This is evidenced by the South African memorial and its museum at Delville Wood, where
today the only surviving tree in the battle; obelisk erected in
memory of the Kiwi fighters at the place of departure to their heroic capture of
Flers; or the wall of Caterpillar Valley Cemetery where
include the names of the 1,205 men of the New Zealand Division who perished in the
1916 and whose bodies were never found.

Open Tuesday to Sunday:
Early February to early April: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Early April to mid-October: 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Mid-October to late November: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
The Museum will be closed on May 1, May 8 and November 1, 2018.
